Warwick Freeman: White Butterfly Brooch

This iconic brooch is currently available at The Dowse.  White Butterfly has been masterfully made from silver and handpainted by jeweller extraordinaire, Warwick Freeman.

First made in 1999, this is a classic has the subtitle, 'introduced European pest' and is made in the image of the now ubiquitious (and hated by gardeners) peris rapae butterfly.  This work is fabulously described in the monograph Hook Hand Heart Star by Objectspace Director, Kim Paton.
